Today's Dawley Angling society Club match was back on Stirchley top pool as the river was still in flood. This time I drew out peg 7 and set up a long line a short line and a margin line and a pellet waggler. Started off baiting up the long line and went out on the pellet waggler which didn't result in anything in the first 30mins. I decided to have a mess about with a top kit down the edge with a single maggot loose feeding around 5 maggots over the top and this resulted in
having tiny roach within 30 seconds to a minute of the bait going in and ended up having about 6lb of silvers before it dried up. The rest of the day was really frustrating not being able to get a bite from any line for the next 2 hours until I managed to land a 9lb carp on the pellet waggler and then having 4 roach in the last 10mins on the long line to finish the match in 2nd place with 16lb 5oz and was 3oz behind 1st place which was 16lb 8oz.
