Last week saw me take a trip to partridge lakes, after starting work the gears not been out of the garage and myself thought I'd be very rusty after not being for so long, at the draw I've picked out peg 4 on covey one, Nice draw this, plenty of room to! The only problem was mark being on peg 1, who was always going to be hard to beat, fished 4 lines, a dobbing rig, a track rig in the more open water to my left, a 3.5 foot maggot rig and a rig to the next pallet, the first two hours saw me chop and change my dobbing and across rigs to no affect, not having even a touch, in the track I'd fed a few 2mm baitech micros, and I had a drop over It to find there was a few sat there, the wind through the day never made it easy and I figured the expander wasn't effective over the micros, so I changed to a really fine Hook and fished a single micro on the hook, I found that this gave me much better indications and allowed me to string the odd few fish together, ended with 35lb odd so not hurrendus but a days fishing non the less a day out, peg 1 bogged the section with 60+! On the bright side I got to use the new darkside 3, and it's a quality peiice of kit, not to forgot all the rest what I've been allowed to used! Just have to hope I can get out again and use it!!
Big thanks to Maver and baittech for the continued support!
