Fished our local club match today at Kings in the Forest of Dean. yet again my draw arm let me down big time, with peg 20 coming out of the bag, this is however and end peg but the shallowest on the lake with the cold stream water running in abd the furthest walk yet again, great peg in the summer though, "excuses over with " caught steady in the morning but the fish disappeared in the afternoon, in fairness the lake fished very well considering it was frozen yesterday with everyone having double figure weights, with 30lb of silvers winning it by young Ashely Lewis, my 12lb 4 oz of Ide, Rudd and a few perch got me last place. still a good days fishing though so can't complain but do need to start drawing better areas
Today I've been to high Hayes farm fishery. I've drawn peg 22 on lake 2.
At the start I've started short on chopped worm and caster which resulted in nothing,I've then chucked out a method feeder and caught steadily on that all day
At the weigh in I've weighed 59lb 10oz which has got me third in the match so not a bad day
Well done to my dad on winning the match with 81lb 3oz
